The rake scene in The Simpsons is filler

Cape Feare is an episode of the animated series The Simpsons that experienced difficulties reaching its standard half-hour duration. The production team then had to inflate certain sequences to extend the broadcast format. Sideshow Bob suffers repeated blows from rake handles by stepping on them, becoming one of the most famous segments of the program.
