Some tattoos are visible only under black light

UV tattooing is a body modification technique using transparent ink that reacts only to black light. The ink is injected under the skin between the dermis and the epidermis using needles, just like for traditional tattoos. This practice adds to more classic inks composed today of synthetic pigments, replacing the India ink or charcoal used since the Neolithic period.
