Wallace's Rail nests near humans

Wallace's Rail is a bird whose only known nest to date was discovered in an area highly frequented by local villagers. This surprise suggests that this vulnerable species might finally adapt more easily to habitat changes than previously thought. Its global population is estimated between 3,500 and 15,000 individuals according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
