France issues more OQTF than its neighbors
The obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) is an administrative removal measure taken in much higher numbers in France than in its European neighbors. Between 2013 and 2023, its execution rate fell from 17% to 8.5%, despite the doubling of measures issued between 2015 and 2024. The high cost of each forced removal is estimated at 20 000 € per person including administrative detention.
