A heart condition was detected before Nicolas Batum's NBA draft

In the spring of 2008, basketball player Nicolas Batum registered for the NBA draft. During a medical examination with the Toronto Raptors, the franchise's cardiologist spotted a heart anomaly. A second opinion examination conducted in Cleveland over two days finally allowed him to be declared fit to play.
