The Assurance-maladie updated its definition of chronic fatigue syndrome in August 2026 to reflect medical progress. This decision follows years of inappropriate care that associated the pathology with a psychological disorder. It now defines the disease as a debilitating chronic exhaustion caused by minor efforts.
