The true story behind Cool Runnings

Jamaica participates for the first time in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, with a bobsleigh team composed of members of its defense force. The fourth man of the crew having been injured shortly before the competition, he was replaced at short notice by Chris Stokes who had simply come to cheer on his brother Dudley. The four-man bobsleigh team experienced a spectacular accident during the third run, a mishap that inspired the famous film Cool Runnings released in 1993.
