The Inaccessible Island rail remains silent in the presence of the Tristan thrush

The Inaccessible Island rail is a very vocal species that emits numerous sounds daily to communicate in dense vegetation. This bird communicates constantly with its peers during foraging, rivalries, or incubation. However, it interrupts its vocalizations and remains cautiously silent upon the approach of a Tristan thrush.
