Horatio Nelson held numerous titles

The full title of Horatio Nelson is inscribed on his coffin, reflecting his many British, Sicilian, and Ottoman distinctions. Among these honors is the Dukedom of Bronte, received in July 1799 for his support of the royalist troops of Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies. Due to the lack of legitimate male offspring, his titles partly passed to his elder brother William.
