Noël Godin invented the pieing of public figures

The pie thrower Noël Godin is a Belgian activist who targets public figures deemed conceited by throwing pastries in their faces. His actions began in November 1968 with a pot of glue and then a cream pie offered to Marguerite Duras at the University of Louvain. Since then, he has targeted numerous celebrities including Bill Gates, Nicolas Sarkozy and Bernard-Henri Lévy.
