The author of Blake and Mortimer painted himself as a villain

Edgar P. Jacobs is the creator of the famous comic book series Blake and Mortimer. To launch his heroes, he drew inspiration from his loved ones for the character designs, using his friends as graphic models. He chose to represent himself through the character of Olrik, the sworn enemy of his protagonists in The Secret of the Swordfish.
