An airliner capable of reversing

The Ilyushin Il-62 is an airliner whose rear engine configuration allows it to move backward on the ground. This arrangement prevents the ingestion of foreign objects on rustic airports and authorizes the use of thrust reversers for reversing. Only the VC-10 and Il-62 models have utilized this arrangement among passenger transport aircraft.
