A Soviet aircraft nicknamed VC-tensky by the British

The Ilyushin Il-62 is the first long-haul jet airliner produced by the USSR. British aeronautical engineers nicknamed this transport aircraft VC-tensky because of its strong similarity to the Vickers VC10. The aircraft entered commercial service on 15 September 1967 with the company Aeroflot between Moscow and Montreal.
