Mao is a card game whose primary rule forbids revealing how it works. Participants discover the prohibitions and obligations through deduction, as penalties are inflicted by the leader. Custom dictates that the latter limits themselves to dealing between 3 and 7 cards and starting the game by pronouncing a single introductory sentence.
