The Quake demo disappointed its first testers

Quake is a famous video game whose demo version was released on February 24, 1996 by id Software. This preliminary version was poorly received by testers who found it too dark and too slow compared to the game Doom. This criticism pushed the developers to quickly revise their work and to integrate a system of teleportation portals for the story.
