Seven out of ten French people consider politicians corrupt

Tous pourris is a popular expression used to denounce the corruption of elected officials. In the 2010s, a survey revealed that nearly 70 percent of French people shared this opinion. In 2017, the station France Inter attributed this phenomenon to a change in public perception rather than to a real worsening of criminal activities.
