Hunger pain subsides after four days
Painful hunger is a phenomenon caused by stomach contractions that occurs 12 to 24 hours after the last intake of food. These contractions last about 30 seconds and repeat in waves before becoming almost continuous. The intensity of hunger peaks after three to four days, then decreases over the following days without, however, disappearing.
