A fatal risk for nasal fecal transplantation

Fecal bacteriotherapy is a medical procedure consisting of introducing bacteria from a healthy donor into the intestine of a patient. It can notably be administered via a nasogastric tube to target the small intestine directly. This precise method however carries a rare but potentially fatal risk of regurgitation leading to pneumonia.
