The 10 sen coin in Malaysia honors the congkak

The congkak is a traditional game of the mancala family popular in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Its pieces or tokens take the form of cowrie shells or small seeds depending on the region. The cultural importance of this pastime is particularly noticeable in Malaysia, where it appears on 10 sen coins.
