Double promotion is forbidden in chū shōgi

Chū shōgi is a Japanese strategy game where pieces can change rank upon entering the opponent's camp. Many pieces transform into models already present at the beginning of the game, but this evolution remains unique. An intermediary that has become a drunken elephant will therefore never be able to reach the rank of crown prince.
