Automatic correction of misread first names

Automatic document reading is a computer process for capturing data on documents. The system queries a database of first names when it identifies such an area in order to rectify reading errors. For example, if the letter E in JEAN is confused with a box, the device discards the false reading JFAN in favor of the correct first name.
