A train ran on the Champs-Élysées for the Shah of Persia

The Renard train is a continuous propulsion automotive train designed by the brothers Charles and Paul Renard at the beginning of the twentieth century. In July 1905, a demonstration of this vehicle was organized for the official visit of the Shah of Persia Mozaffareddin to Paris. The sovereign was thus able to attend tests where the train performed various turns on the famous avenue of the Champs-Élysées.
