Motorists in the United Kingdom spend about one third of their net salary on the purchase and use of their vehicle. This proportion climbs up to half of the net salary for drivers located in Portugal. Depreciation represents for its part nearly half of the total cost, a fixed expense that the majority of owners underestimate or ignore completely.
