A boiling thermal spring gushes from the bottom of Lake Garda
The Boiola is an underwater thermal spring in Lake Garda known for its therapeutic properties. The water comes from the depths of Mount Baldo, where it infiltrates before descending more than 2,100 meters below sea level for about twenty years to become charged with minerals. A pipe installed in 1889 allowed it to be brought to the surface, causing a jet of 245 liters per second to emerge at a temperature of 63 °C.
