Thousands of portraits of anonymous people covered the Panthéon

An artist's project covered the Panthéon with portraits during the renovation of its dome. The tarpaulins protecting the scaffolding between 2013 and 2015 displayed thousands of faces of strangers captured in a Photomaton truck by JR. This choice was validated by Philippe Belaval, president of the Centre des monuments nationaux, to reflect the republican values of the site.
