French law strictly limits the number of fine art photographs

In France, tax legislation strictly regulates the legal definition of works of art for tax and VAT reasons. Article 98-A of the tax code imposes precise criteria according to artistic disciplines. For fine art photographs, they must notably be printed in a maximum of thirty copies, numbered and signed by the artist.
