Scopa is a popular Italian card game whose very first written appearance dates back to the year 1843. Contrary to a popular belief, this pastime is not ancient and has no historical link with prime. In the 19th century, common players removed the eights, nines, and tens to indulge in this hobby with Neapolitan cards.
