Cuvier's beaked whale holds the diving record

Cuvier's beaked whale holds the world record for dive duration for a lung-breathing animal. This feat is made possible by prolonged apneas adapted to its marine physiology. It was thus timed at 3 hours 42 minutes during one of its deep-water descents.
