Rose Valland secretly documented all Nazi art looting in France

Rose Valland is a French resistance fighter who remained at her post at the Jeu de Paume museum during the German Occupation. She precisely recorded every movement of stolen paintings, the names of the victims, as well as the destinations of the convoys. Her meticulous notes allowed the Resistance and the Allies to protect the convoys and to track down the caches in Germany and Austria.
