The first yuri manga in history remains little known

Shīkuretto rabu is a shōjo manga published in 1970 by Masako Yashiro, telling the story of a love triangle between two girls and a boy. This work is considered the very first yuri, marking the first representation of an intimate relationship between women outside the esu context. Despite this historical paternity, this manga and its author are little known to the general public today, in favor of the work of Ryōko Yamagishi published in 1971.
