A lost Kanae Yamamoto print was resurrected in 1960

Kanae Yamamoto had produced very few impressions of his print Fisherman, perhaps one or two, and none had reached modern critics. The woodblocks used for the work were finally found at the Ishii family home many years after its creation. Oliver Statler then asked Hashimoto Okiie to make forty additional copies for a commemorative edition in 1960.
