Rice cultivation in Asia is at the origin of alcohol intolerance

The alcohol intolerance observed in Asia finds its origins partly in the development of rice cultivation. This agricultural activity allowed for the production of large quantities of alcohol, favoring its appearance among populations. The ancestors of these individuals would have thus developed a biological resistance that still manifests itself today.
