Parcopresis is the shy bowel syndrome

Parcopresis is a psychological disorder characterized by the impossibility of defecating if the required level of privacy is not reached. Also named psychogenic fecal retention or shy bowel syndrome, this condition causes an obsessive fear of being seen or heard during defecation. This syndrome constitutes a handicapping discomfort for the people who suffer from it on a daily basis.
