A commercial failure for an acclaimed game

Wipeout 3 is a futuristic racing video game released in 1999 on PlayStation. Upon its release, the title was well received by critics for its graphics and its techno soundtrack signed by The Chemical Brothers or Orbital. Despite this good reception, the game proved to be a commercial failure with only 340,000 copies sold worldwide.
