Forty-two Karabakh horses found in Iran

The Karabakh is a breed of horse whose existence in Iran was the subject of targeted research in 2005. Scientists combed specific areas such as Tabriz, Urmia or the banks of the Aras river by targeting specimens measuring less than 1.45 m with very specific physical characteristics. This survey made it possible to count forty-two individuals meeting exactly these selection criteria.
