The Karabakh is a tireless gazelle hunter

The Karabakh is a breed of mountain horse endowed with exceptional endurance during physical exertion. In 1874, the French explorer Émile Duhousset testified to having hunted gazelles for eight consecutive days with one of these animals. The equid endured without harm daily runs of ten to fourteen hours with minimal care.
