The US Airways flight 1549 aircraft remained unsold for over two years

The Airbus A320 from flight 1549 was moved to a salvage yard in New Jersey to be auctioned one week after its accident. The aircraft nevertheless remained without a buyer for more than two years, before being acquired in 2011 by the Carolinas Aviation Museum. It is displayed there in its current state, completely unrestored just as it was when pulled from the water.
