The cockpit windshield was invaded by birds during flight 1549

US Airways flight 1549 struck a flock of Canada geese at an altitude of 859 meters, causing the animals to be sucked into the engines. At the moment of impact, the windshield filled with birds that briefly obstructed the pilots' view. Both engines failed simultaneously, leading to violent vibration and flames before a deathly silence settled in the cabin.
