The 2009 Miracle on the Hudson

US Airways Flight 1549 is a commercial flight that suffered a failure of both engines after a bird strike in 2009. Captain Chesley Sullenberger landed the Airbus A320 on the Hudson River in New York after only five minutes and eight seconds of flight. The 155 people on board all survived this emergency water landing described as a miracle by the authorities.
