A Japanese print sets a world record in Paris

The Hidden Love from the Poetic Anthology series by Utamaro reached new heights during an auction in June 2016. This event took place at the Hotel Drouot in Paris for the dispersal of the Asian art collection of the Portier family. The work thus fetched 600 000 euros at the hammer, or a total of 745 800 euros with fees, establishing a world record.
