Opening windows does not protect against a tornado

It is false to think that opening windows before a tornado allows for reducing the damage suffered by the dwelling. This erroneous belief relies on the idea that one can thus balance atmospheric pressure during the passage of the storm. This action is totally useless and adds to a long list of myths recorded about these meteorological phenomena.
