Zion National Park intentionally starts fires

Zion National Park intentionally causes fires to preserve its ecosystems. This preventive method avoids the excessive accumulation of dead vegetation that would fuel uncontrollable fires during periods of drought. The park's specialized team also intervenes in the neighboring areas of Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef and Cedar Breaks.
