The first snow leopard photograph dates from 1971

The first photograph of a snow leopard in the wild was taken in 1971 by George Schaller. Previously, knowledge about this feline relied solely on furs and hunters' accounts. This snapshot was then published in November of the same year in the National Geographic Magazine.
