Paracetamol has not proven its usefulness against fever

The World Health Organization questioned in 2003 the systematic treatment of fever using this medication. No study demonstrates a clear benefit to its use in a febrile child with an infection, and fever could even play a protective role. The American Academy of Pediatrics subsequently reiterated these recommendations on February 28, 2011.
