The Clouded Leopard is a feline between two worlds

The Clouded Leopard is a feline whose exact classification has long divided specialists. It adopts the posture of big cats when lying down, while possessing a fully ossified hyoid bone that prevents it from roaring like small cats. The majority of taxonomists finally classify it among the Pantherinae within the genus Neofelis.
