The Formosan clouded leopard had a much shorter tail

The Formosan clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa brachyura) is a now extinct subspecies of feline. It differed from its peers by a shorter tail, measuring between 55 and 60 cm instead of 79 to 90 cm. This remarkable anatomical feature is observed only on this island population that is extinct today.
