Les Grosses Têtes hosted by Christophe Dechavanne lost at least 600,000 listeners in three months. The fall of the show resulted from a complete renewal of the team and a disconnect with the audience, to the point that the host himself would get stuck on the questions. The experiment ended with the definitive cancellation of this version on December 29, 2000 and the return of Philippe Bouvard.
