The Federated States of Micronesia are a Pacific archipelago that found itself completely devoid of mental health specialists in recent times. Indeed, no specialized center, psychiatrist, or psychologist was recorded in the entire country as of the date of 2013. This situation persists even though the population faces other major health problems such as diabetes and tuberculosis.
