Sam Cassell was recruited by the Celtics while traveling in Los Angeles

Sam Cassell is a professional basketball player who joined the Boston Celtics in February 2008. As the franchise was looking for a free agent to strengthen its roster, it took advantage of a game in Los Angeles against the Clippers to negotiate directly with him. The player had little playing time in his previous team and quickly signed with Boston, which won the match by a 32-point margin.
