The RC Strasbourg coach tracked his players using taxis

Gilbert Gress managed RC Strasbourg by closely monitoring the lifestyle of his squad during the 1978-1979 season. He used a personal network of taxi drivers to spot players who went out at night. This surveillance was accompanied by a total ban on alcohol and mandatory training camps before every match.
